WE WRITE YOUR TOWN'S LOCAL HISTORY FOR YOUR STUDENTS

WE WRITE YOUR TOWN'S LOCAL HISTORY FOR YOUR STUDENTS

With our experience in writing local history for both adults and kids, our mission is to tell the story of your town to your kids.  We create a complete curriculum package based on the history of your town that can be taught in elementary school classrooms.

How does it Work?

We begin by scheduling a meeting with your local Historical Society to visit for their archives for a full day. After collecting local history resources, studying the history of your town and conducting an interview with your town's historian, we set to work. We create a kid-friendly history of your town aimed at any grade level in elementary or middle school. This text is then part of a full curriculum that includes writing assignments, a unit project, two history clue-finding games, a research project and an end of unit assessment. All lessons have stated aims, exit tickets and are Common Core aligned.

We are also available to visit your school during the year to give one or more engaging and interactive presentations to your classrooms or school assembly on the history of the town.
